  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin pie puree
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or any type you prefer)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted for topping
  • 1 cup sugar for topping
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients: flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, and pumpkin spice.
  3. In another bowl, combine wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, melted butter, and milk.
  4. Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  5. Grease a donut pan and fill each cavity halfway with batter.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown and springy to touch.
  7. Prepare cinnamon sugar by mixing melted butter with sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Once cooled slightly, dip each donut in melted butter then roll in cinnamon sugar.
