Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup strong coffee
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup coconut cream
  • 1 tablespoon gingerbread syrup (for topping)
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish
  • 1 gingerbread man cookie (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Heat over medium until boiling, stirring occasionally. Once dissolved, let cool before storing in an airtight container.
  2. To make the topping, whisk together coconut cream and two tablespoons of gingerbread syrup until soft peaks form.
  3. Froth milk using a stovetop method or frother until fluffy.
  4. Stir gingerbread syrup into coffee, pour frothed milk on top, and add the whipped topping. Sprinkle with cinnamon for garnish.
