  • prepared pizza dough
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced white mushrooms
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella ball
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by combining tomato sauce, salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder in a saucepan. Heat on low for 5 minutes.
  2. Shape your prepared dough into a circle about 14 inches wide on a pizza stone.
  3. Spread the sauce over the dough, leaving an inch around the edge.
  4. Create a spiderweb design with shredded mozzarella across the pizza.
  5. Prepare mushroom skulls by cutting small lines at the bottom of each slice and poking two holes in the center.
  6. Assemble by placing mushroom skulls on top of the pizza.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 450°F for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Add ghost-shaped pieces of fresh mozzarella after initial baking and return to oven for another 2 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
